Council just passed my resolution to support basic rights for domestic workers via AB 889. For too long those who maintain our households, take care of our children, elderly and sick, have not had the same rights that the rest of us enjoy. AB 889, the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights, will establish standards to give domestic workers lunch breaks, overtime and vacation time, among other things.

Council just passed my resolution to support basic rights for domestic workers via AB 889.
