Extremely honored and humbled to represent a majority of Downtown Los Angeles as part of the new Council District 14. Besides working on livability issues and connecting its distinct communities, I look forward to bringing more economic development, jobs and services Downtown, which is an economic engine for the So Cal region. Working with residents, organizations and businesses, I know we can improve Downtown and put more Angelenos back to work. Read blogdowntown story here.

Celebrate Independence Day At Three CD 14 Concert & Fireworks Shows
Help us celebrate an early Independence Day as my office joins community groups to sponsor three Concert and Fireworks shows, with two next Saturday, June 30th, in El Sereno and Boyle Heights, and one on Sunday, July 1st, in Eagle Rock.Since taking office, I have made it a priority to bring back our beloved neighborhood 4th of July fireworks shows, which had been non-existent in some CD 14 neighborhoods for decades.
So please join us for food, kids games, music and fireworks as we celebrate our great nation's birthday!
